Thiophanate-Methyl Performance

This product is a benzimidazole systemic fungicide with systemic, preventative, and curative action. In the plant, it is converted into carbendazim, where it interferes with spindle formation during mitosis and affects cell division. It is mainly used to control rice blast.

 

Thiophanate-Methyl Precautions

The safe interval for this product when controlling rice blast is 30 days. It can be applied a maximum of 3 times per crop season.

This product should not be mixed with copper-based fungicides or strong acids and alkalis.

When using this product, wear protective clothing and gloves to avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do not smoke or eat during application. Wash hands and face promptly after use.

All application equipment should be thoroughly cleaned with water immediately after use. Pesticide plastic bags should be punctured and burned in an incinerator. This product is toxic to fish and other aquatic organisms; keep it away from aquaculture areas and do not wash application equipment in rivers, ponds, or other bodies of water.

It is recommended to rotate this product with other fungicides that have different mechanisms of action.

 

Thiophanate-Methyl First Aid Measures

Inhalation: Move to fresh air. Administer oxygen if breathing is difficult. Seek medical attention if necessary.
Skin contact: Wash immediately with soap and water. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
Eye contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes; seek medical attention.
Ingestion: Give two glasses of water immediately after ingestion. Induce vomiting if the ingested amount is large. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person, and seek immediate medical attention for symptomatic treatment.

 

Storage and Transportation Instructions of Thiophanate-Methyl

1、Store this product in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated warehouse, out of reach of children, and keep it locked.

2、During storage and transportation, strictly prevent moisture and direct sunlight. Keep away from sources of fire. Do not store or transport with food, seeds, feed, beverages, or similar items.
